 Get Those Allergy Care Plans Out!

A survey of nurses in elementary and middle schools found that food allergy action plans for students with food allergies are used inconsistently.

 School Nurse Arrested, Suspended

The nurse at Oakdale Elementary School was arrested Friday morning after irregularities were discovered in the dispensing of prescription medication for five students. http://www.salina.com/news/story/bradley-11-7

 Nurse Addition to IEP?

A child’s neurologist recommended the district change his IEP to include requiring a full-time trained nurse stationed at the school (the school only had a part-time nurse). It also recommended allowing him to bring his service dog to school. http://www.winknews.com/features/action/33411759.html
