What is OSHNA?
The Overseas School Health Nurses Association is the only professional organization for Registered Nurses employed as School Nurses outside the continental United States. Originally founded as an organization of School Nurses affiliated with the U.S. Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Europe and in the Pacific, OSHNA is now more truly an association of international School Nurses. Our membership includes School Nurses employed in schools in over 12 different countries, from Cuba to Iceland, and throughout Europe and the Pacific. OSHNA is unified with the National Association of School Nurses(NASN). Membership fees for NASN include OSHNA membership.
What Can OSHNA Do For Me?
OSHNA membership can enhance your practice of school nursing by serving as a resource of nursing practice information and as a provider of continuing education, professional development, and opportunities for leadership development. OSHNA can also serve as a source of professional support in daily practice by enhancing communication among members and by providing networking opportunities.
