Vision Statement
We see the Overseas School Health Nurses
Association as the leading organization in the promotion of a positive
image of the specialized practice of school nursing through its support
of professional, evidenced-based nursing practice, continued
professional education, and leadership development.
Mission Statement
The mission of OSHNA is to support it members in
their role as the primary health care providers within the schools and
as advocates for the well-being, academic success, and life-long
achievement of students in their care.
Goals
- Enhance communication among overseas
professional nurses, policy makers, community resources, and school
stakeholders.
- Facilitate annual conferences to provide
professional development to enable overseas professional nurses to
keep abreast with current development in the field of school nursing
and health care.
- To maintain a professional relationship with
the National Association of School Nurses.
- To provide for opportunities for leadership
development
